A DEADLY MOMENT IN TIME - On the shores of Jackfish Lake, Saskatchewan, 3000 years ago a small band of Natives skinned bison around a campfire. Trees sheltered them from the lake where they believed ghosts gathered in the dark. The fire crackled as fat dripped from the meat cooking on spits. A delicious odour rode on the smoke. They were hungry. That, with their focus on the carcasses, made them careless.
